quick note
not that i'm a big fan of the whole governer general thing that's going on at the moment but i did find amusing a discussion on fark.com about the whole affair.
cheddarpants' comment was particularly chuckle-riffic!
"Yeah, she's hot. But on the power & importance scale, Canadian Governor General falls somewhere between the Vice President of the Hall & Oates Fan Club and the Night Manager at Hardee's."
of course the 'hot' comment was in reference to a picture from about a decade ago (the woman's 48 now... sheesh...), but the social commentary is bang-on (ps... what's a hardees?).
at queen's at the moment - the computer lab is crawling with esl students checking their emails and chatting back and forth although for some reason they have to speak in very loud voices to people who are inches away from them. i really don't care about their plans for the weekend in montreal, or their pictures of miguel, the new buddy they made last week.
