here be the 'fashion centre'

btw, www.lvec.ca is reporting that there's a rumour making the rounds that the downtown food basics might be the anchor grocery store for this thing (well, actually the power centre one)...

ok so i haven't posted in a long time but really i've been somewhat busy and haven't been able to muster enough gumption to really care about posting anything.

however, given the recent run of construction projects going around i thought i'd throw up some pics of the new kings crossing development planned for the north end near the 401. pretty crazy stuff! this is an overall view of the site with the 'fashion' centre to the bottom and the 'power' centre to the top. division st. is to the left and the photo is cropped on the top and bottom by the rail tracks and the highway. i love how every parking spot is taken up in the photo. awesome stuff. i'll post a couple more pics of the layout of the site.

also, the lvec is coming along but we still don't know what it's going to look like. we were told that the plans were at 90% and that the final drawings would be released in jan/feb, then feb, then they stopped giving us deadlines so who knows now?

here was what they said in the last update, feb 2.

"Design build drawings

The 100% completed design is planned for February 2007. Brisbin, Brook, Beynon, Architects, have started to work on the interior design of the facility, involving key stakeholders. The interior design involving the Kingston Frontenacs, Kingston & District Sports Hall of Fame and the Arts community is expected to by complete by February/March 2007. "

in the latest update, released march 4th, does not mention the design at all. ellis don hasn't updated it's site in a while
http://www.ellisdon.com/ed/projects/view/?id=3088739
and the architects, brisbin, brook and beynon haven't even listed the lvec as a project on their site, www.bbb.ca
